He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon "Ted" Yakem and Irene Marie Yakem (English); and his son Sheldon. He is survived by: his children, Laura Johnson of Tillsonburg, Aaron Yakem of Edmonton, Alberta, Henri and Mireille; the mother of his children Elise Yakem; his sister Amanda Yakem; his children, Abigail, Izzy and Caleb; and also, Aracida and Sadie.
