He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; his parents, Clarence Helsdon and Laura Helsdon; his siblings, Gordon Powell (Betty), May Turner (Jack), Charlie Helsdon (Ora) and Jim Powell (Vera); and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Tilden (Cam), Bob Tattersall (Olive) and Doreen Fewster (Bev).
He is survived by: his sons, Jeff (Karen) and John (Deb); his grandchildren, Kai, Collin, Abigail and Aliyah; his great grandchild Xander; and his sister-in-law Judy Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
