He was predeceased by: his daughters, April and Rachael; his parents, Donald Shearer and Ruth Shearer; his stepmother Millie Shearer; and his sister Suzanne Shearer.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughter Nichole Shearer (Derek); his siblings-in-law, Mark Childs and Dawn MacDonald; and his stepsiblings, Jim Langohr and Pat Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorial donations in memory of Rick may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association and may be done online directly with the charity or via cheque at the Funeral Home.
