She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy "Bernice" Ford and Herc Burwell; and her brother Donald Burwell. She is survived by: her sons, Leigh J. Maertens, Zurich and Brock Melvin (Olivia) of Seattle; her grandchildren, Chandler, Mina and Lillith Melvin; her siblings, David Burwell of Tillsonburg, Mark Burwell and Zurich; and her sister-in-law Nelly Burwell of Eden. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
