He was predeceased by: his parents, Hermann Kroening and Olga Kroening (Henke). He is survived by: his wife Ingeborg Kroening (Modrow) of Aylmer; his son Ralph Kroening (Susan) of Lindsay; and his grandchildren, Mark, Ryan and Dorothy Rouatt (Hugh Mckenzie) of Aylmer.
