He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer De Cloet and Maria; his wife Simone De (De Groote); his siblings, Gabe De Cloet, John De Cloet, Luke De Cloet and Rita McElhone; and his grandson Chad McBride.
He is survived by: his children, Mark McBride (Cathy) of London, Kristina (Shane Hodgetts) of Aylmer, Ed De Cloet of Stratford, Natasha De Cloet of St. Thomas, Chantal Matheson (Caleb) of Simcoe and Danny DeCloet of Woodstock; his siblings, Paul De Cloet (Josiane), Alphonse De Cloet, Ben De Cloet (Brenda VanQuathem) of Booth's Harbour and Mary McElhone; his siblings-in-law, Mary De Cloet (John), Hilda De Cloet (Luke) and Pat McElhone (Fran); and also, John, Paul, Alphonse, Luke, Ben, Mary and Rita. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and several cousins.
