Cecelia Van Laeken Obituary

With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Cecelia Van Laeken (Tillsonburg, Ontario), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Cecelia Van left this world on January 1, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gilbert; her parents, Constant Vuylsteke and Madelein Vuylsteke; her children-in-law, Lorraine Van Laeken, Marcel Vankerrebroeck and Steve Van Quaethem; her siblings, Margaret Pieters (Michel), Roger Vuylsteke (Paula) and Ralph Vuylsteke (Vivian); and her brother-in-law Walter Van Laeken.

She is survived by: her sister-in-law Margaret Van Laeken. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ostrander's Funeral Home (43 Bidwell St, Tillsonburg, ON N4G3T6). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church (51 Venison St W, Tillsonburg, ON N4G1V1).

Memorial donations to Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation and Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the Van Laeken family and can be done via cheque payable to the charity through Ostrander's Funeral Home.
