He was predeceased by: his former wife Margaret Schernekau; his son Carson Schernekau; his parents, Karl Schernekau and Wanda Schernekau; his sister Ingeborge Gesek; and his brother-in-law Clement Gesek.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Schernekau; and his niece Heidemarie Dreger.
Memorial donations to Habitat for Humanity, Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital or St. Vincent de Paul, Tillsonburg would be appreciated by the Schernekau family.
