He is survived by: his spouse Jean Van Maele; his children, Richard Van Maele (Kim), Joanne Freund (Joel) and Michele Mostacci (Luciano); his stepchildren, Pam Bruder (Allen), Deb Ditner (Karen) and Greg Vandendriessche (Elsa); his grandchildren, Anthony, Megan (Mike), Davis, Jena (Joey), Kendra, Matthew, Alison and Eric; and his sister Margaret Vanlaeken.
