He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pryt and Maria Van Der Pryt; his siblings, Dorothy Sterling (Bernard) and John Van Der Pryt; his sister-in-law Monique Van Der Pryt; and his grandson David.
He is survived by: his wife Maria "Rita" Van Der; his children, Marjorie Claassen (Garry), Eric Van Der (Kelly), Grace Pepper, Annette Ryken (Rob), Rene Van Der (Evelyn) and Jeff Van Der (Lisa); his grandchildren, Amanda (Steve), Matthew (Tracy), Kimberley, Kaitlynn, Amber, Nicole (Jeff), Brad, Brian (Terilyn), Greg (Christine), Emily, Alexandra, Madison, Ethan, Darcy, Kristen, Justin and Brandon; his brothers, Cor Van Der (Nellie), Frank Van Der (Cheryl) and Joseph Van Der Pryt; and his sister-in-law Diane Van Der Pryt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
