He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Cowan; his parents, Earl Cowan and Hazel Cowan; and his siblings, Russ (Irene), Blake and Wanda Oliver (Tom).
He is survived by: his children, Gary Cowan (Becky), Karen Marvin (Bill) and Todd Cowan (Jill); his grandchildren, Wyatt, Emma Foster, Amber, Holly Kalp-Foster, Avery and Lily Cowan; and his sister Lynda Laughlin (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
