He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Atkinson and Edythe June Pierce; his siblings, Karen Holmes and Ted Holmes; and his siblings-in-law, Doris Clark and Edward Benoit.

He is survived by: his wife Maureen Atkinson (Hope); his children, Julie, Michael Bloemen, Christine and Greg Park; his grandchildren, Deven Park and Emma Park (Chad Atkinson); his great grandchild Calvin Park; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Jane, Norm Miller, Robert, Connie, James, Ellen Hope, Michael and Peggy Hope.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Reaume Funeral Home Inc. (6 Canal St W, Tilbury, ON N0P2L0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
