He was predeceased by: his wife Stella (Lolly); his son William David; his parents, Arthur and Maria (Melnychuk); and his siblings, Wilma Harmer (George), Dorothy Stupendick (Charles) and Pauline Reguly (John).

He is survived by: Bill. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
