It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Strey (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Pine River, Manitoba, who passed away on November 23, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Olga Zaporzan and John Zaporzan; her son William "Bill" Strey; her siblings, John (Margaret), Russell, Lawrence, Alice Anthony, Bernice Greer (Sam) and Carol Turgeon; and her sister-in-law Connie Zaporzan.

She is survived by: her husband George "Beaver"; her children, Wendy Andruski (John) and Pat (Anne); her grandchildren, Christine Currie (Jeff), Jon Andruski (Shannon) and Mackenzie Strey; her great grandchildren, Thomas and James Currie; her siblings, Ralph Zaporzan, Eileen Bottos (Angelo) and Ted Zaporzan (Amanda); and her siblings-in-law, Mary Zaporzan, Edith Halverson, Eileen Matson, Peter Turgeon and Brian Anthony.

Due to COVID-19, funeral services for the late Mrs. Shirley Strey will be held at a later date.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Underground Gym or the NICU at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
