She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Kakegamic and Minnie Kakegamic; her brother Josias; and her grandchildren, Trinity and Ryan.

She is survived by: her husband Peter Kakekayash; her children, Curtis (Rachel), Calvin (Jolene) and Skylar (Marlene); and her siblings, Gloria, Ella-Jane, Harry, Frank and Elijah. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and other extended relatives.
