He was predeceased by: his daughter Trudy; and the mother of his children Annette. He is survived by: his significant other Annette; and his children, Rudy Jr. (Deanna), Joe (Lorie), Chris (Janice), Claudette and Mary (Don).

Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church (294 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, ON P7B1A8). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
