Raymond Arthur Maki Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond Arthur Maki of Thunder Bay, Ontario, who passed away on July 12, 2020 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Raymond Arthur Maki to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vilho "Bill" and Tyyne Maki; his brother Ron; his sister-in-law Margie; his spouse Laney; his children, Todd Maki (Jenny) of New Westminster, BC, Colleen Maki of Thunder Bay, Joel Maki (Janice) of Thunder Bay and Maureen Maki of Calgary, AB; and his stepson Don Kenney.

He is survived by: his stepchildren, Kristen Des Islet (Brian) of Oshawa, Michele Juma (Ali) of Sault Ste, Rob Kenney (Kim) of Sault Ste, Marie and David Kenney (Amanda) of Whitby; his grandchildren, Josh, Liam, Nathanial Maki, Sander Stoneman (Sarah), Connor Dunster (Kaitlynn), Shelby Kenney, Nick, David, Michael Des Islet, Kaden, Aidan, Kiran, Aaron Juma, Jack and Madeline Kenney; his nephews, Craig and Brent of Sudbury; and his siblings-in-law, Todd Hatch, John, Carol Hatch, Leith and Jim Passmore.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family ceremony will be held in September and a Celebration of Life will be held on St. Urho's day, March 16, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Algoma Family Services Foundation or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
