He was predeceased by: his parents, Giuseppe Chiodo and Maria Chiodo; his sister Rose Ciafagna; his siblings-in-law, Rena Chiodo, Joseph Grdevich Sr., Tom Ciafagna and Pasquale Palermo; his niece Anna Maria Chiodo; his nephews, Joseph Grdevich Jr. and Sandro Fragale; and his grandson Lee Michael Vincent Chiodo.

He is survived by: his wife Ida; his grandchildren, Daniella (Dave), Maurizio, Sergio (Sheila), Julio (Tammy), Ornella Bregg (Jamie), Silvano, Joseph and Maria Borys (Bob); his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Savanna, Anthony, Courtney, Jake, Eirik, Andrew, Kayla, Elizabeth, Peter, Stephanie and Laura; his siblings, Luigi Chiodo (Gina), Alfredo Chiodo (Leila), Ottavio Chiodo (Emma), Vittorio Chiodo, Nellina Mercuri (Domenic), Filomena Maletta (Pierino), Gregorio Mancuso (Marisa), Maria Fragale (Luigi), Santina Grdevich, Giovanni Mancuso (Francis) and Dina Palermo; and his cousin Ralph Costanzo (Fiorina). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
