He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Kostur and Maria Kostur; and his siblings, Mike, Katie Nahachewsky (Mike) and Ann Bernitsky (Bill).

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Randy, Robert (Lynn), Ron (Korri), Joan (Gary), Sandy (Rick), Kathy (Andre) and Joanne (Grant).
