He was predeceased by: his parents, Giovanni Pilat and Erminia Zanetti; and his siblings, Rico, Agusto, Gina and Ines.

He is survived by: his wife Stella; his children, Erminia and Tony (Carla); his grandchildren, Brennan O'Neill (Brea), Breanne Nelli (Frank), Justin and Cristian (Kristen); his great grandchild Leighton Sophia; and his sister Amabile.
