It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Sawchyn (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Dauphin, Manitoba, who passed away on August 31, 2018, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Shand and Ida Shand; her sister Beryl Byer of Kelowna; her husband John; and her daughter-in-law Mariclare Sawchyn.

She is survived by: her children, Ken (Karen), Kenneth (Karen), Donald, Barry (Roberta), Rendell (Tracey) and Cindy Magus (Ralph) of Lethbridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Maxine to the Northern Cancer Fund would be greatly appreciated.
