She was predeceased by: her son Jose; her husband Joao; her parents, Jacinto Cabral and Maria Cabral; and her siblings, Jose, Alfredo and Irondina.

She is survived by: her children, John (Rosemary) and Maria Grace (David); her grandchildren, Nelson, Glen, Ashley, Allison (Helder), Andrea, Chantel (Eddie) and Kyle (Liz); her great grandchildren, Preston, Miguel, Caleb and Victoria; and her niece Fatima Rodrigues.
