Leo Waldemar Paavola Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Waldemar Paavola (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on October 9, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kirsti and Matti; and his sister Laila. He is survived by: his significant other Annabelle; his children, Lisa Owen (Tim), Wendy Hunter (Roy) and Larry Paavola (Christine); his grandchildren, Kent Owen (Helen Hu), Rob Owen (Alba Stefani), Curtis Owen (Ari Cerres), Chantel Paavola, Brandon Paavola, Julia Hunter and Kristi Hunter; and his sister-in-law Jacky Caldwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Leo's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
