He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Joyce; his brother Billy; and his parents-in-law, Murray and Lorraine.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his daughters, Jennifer (Glen) and Joanne (Emily); his grandson Ben; his siblings, Jamie (Lorna) and Leanne (Terry); and his sister-in-law Donna-Lynne (Bob).
