He was predeceased by: his parents, John Spade and Mary Spade (Wabano); his son Adam Spade; and his siblings, Josie Kwandibens (Spade), Margaret Wilson (Spade), Richard Spade and Christy Spade.

He is survived by: his brother George Spade; and his children, Christy Kwandibens (Kaylee), Josie Spade (Dennis), Jared Spade, Aiden Spade, Sylvester Spade, Gloria Machimity, Roberta Machimity, Stephanie Machimity, Nick Necan and Crystal Necan. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
