Joseph Missewace Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Missewace (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Lansdowne House, Ontario, who passed away on February 18, 2025 at the age of 58. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Jacob Nate; his stepfather Charlie Okeese; his brother Alexander Missewace; and his daughter-in-law Monica Kenequanash. He is survived by: his mother Caroline Nate; his siblings, Ron Missewace (Jemimah), Shirley Fiddler (Roy) and Sharon Nate; his stepsiblings, Quincy O'keese, Roland O'keese and Ginger Wapoose; his children, Cheryl Suganaqueb (Gerald), Lilliana Barkman (Floyd) and Emylee Missewace Brennan (Kaine); his grandchildren, Ayden, Jaimi-Lyn, Maya, Lenaya, Taylor, Taylor-Ann, Tyler, Jacob, Ethan, Evan, Lincoln, Makenna, Albany, Gabriel, Sabrina, Kylie, Chase, Arianna and Trey; and his great grandchildren, Kajsa, Kade and Aniyah. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Matawa Education Care Center -School Gymnasium (200 Lillie St N, Thunder Bay, ON P7C5Y2).
