He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Sawchuk and Anne Sawchuk (Horocholyn); his brothers, Joe Sziva, Curly Andrews, Mac Shepherd and Al Gallis; his siblings-in-law, Jack and Carol Milroy; and his nephew Terry Gallis.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Corrigan; his stepchildren, Lindsay Corrigan (Kelly) and Kathy Corrigan (Sandy Sellers); his children, Bill Sawchuk (Tanya), Leanne Mickleburgh (Paul) and Bobbi Tamblyn (Dan); his grandchildren, Carlie Sawchuk (Mike), Matthew Sawchuk (Cassidy), Chelsea Holmquist (Kevin), Matthew Mickleburgh, Mia Mickleburgh (Dalton), Hannah Magnusson (Cody), Samuel Tamblyn and Benjamin Tamblyn; his great grandchildren, Layla Sawchuk, Jesse, Hudson, Reese Holmquist and Daniel Magnusson; the mother of his children Myrna Milroy; and his sisters, Martha Shepherd, Alice Andrews and Sylvia Sziva. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
