He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Filipovic and Marija Filipovic; and his brother Nick Filipovic. He is survived by: his wife Marguerite; his children, Sharon Elsey [Dan], Daniel Filipovic [Samantha], David Filipovic [Denise] and Tracey Jewiss [Marc]; his grandchildren, Steven, Jamie Elsey, Mathew, Ryan, Michelle Filipovic, Tyler, Trevor, Robbie Jewiss and Noah Filipovic; and his siblings, Ann Racic and Frank Filipovic.

Should people prefer, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay or the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society.
