He was predeceased by: his brothers, Daniel Maki and Rudy Maki; his brother-in-law Gary Mueller; and his father-in-law Ernie Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Karen Maki; his children, Joanna Fraser (Ron) of Worcester, MA, Charlene Argáez (Diego) of Ottawa, ON and Robert Maki of Kitchener, ON; his grandchildren, Myles, Lauren Fraser, Matias, Quentin and Isadora Argáez; his siblings, Thom, Jim (Cathy), Sam Maki and Therese Augruso (Frank); his mother-in-law Margaret Johnson; his siblings-in-law, Arnie Willenbucher (Myrna), Mary Mueller and Karen Willenbucher; and his friends, Mike and Marlene Marion. He is also survived by two aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
