It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John James Kappel (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Toronto, Ontario, who passed away on March 6, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kappel and Laina Kappel; his wife Jeannette; and his brothers-in-law, Jack and Bill Carlson.

He is survived by: his children, Todd (Jenny Lee), Colleen (Bill Dolcetti) and Michael (Noella Robert); his granddaughters, Coralea and Melanie Kappel; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Paquette (Margo), Francis Gutierrez (Edmundo), Alof Carlson, Eldon Carlson (Erica) and Clayton Carlson.

If anyone so desires, a donation may be made in John's memory to the cancer society or a youth organization.
