He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Olga (Chamut); his brothers, Stephen and William Giertuga (Bill); his nephew Jefferey Iwanyszyn (Margaret Ann Strange); and his friends, Judy Vantour and Jimmy Irvin.
He is survived by: his son Jason (Patti); his stepdaughter Ann Mason; his siblings, Christine Swearengen (Doug) and Edward Giertuga (Ellen); his sister-in-law Sharon Giertuga; and his nephews, Scott (Lesli), Warren (JoAnne), Trevor Giertuga (Chelsea) and David Iwanyszyn (Katja).
