He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Bateman and Rita Bateman; his parents-in-law, Reg and Betty Henry; and his brother-in-law John.

He is survived by: his son Jason (Erica Brayshaw); his wife Louann; his daughter Stephanie Paxton (Tim); his siblings, Andre (Monique), Wesley (Caroline), Janice Yeske (Murray) and Jude Hautala (Bill); and his parents-in-law, Debbie, Frank Bil, Barry and Cheryl Henry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
