Ilma Edith Sanelma Szugalew Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ilma Edith Sanelma Szugalew (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on July 10, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Hanson and Mikael Hanson of South Gillies; her husband Fedor Szugalew (Russian); her sister Valma; and her grandson Kyle Patola.
She is survived by: her children, Marilyn Palosaari, Sonya O'Brien (Mark) and Karl Szugalew (Luciana); her grandchildren, Jason (Kristi Palosaari), Jen Patola (James), Melissa Biscardi, Mikhail (Lucas Szugalew) and Lucas (Christian O'Brien); and her great grandchildren, Kyuss, Chloe Liles and Santana O'Brien. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express our extreme gratefulness to the staff of Roseview Manor, who provided such kindness and excellent attentiveness during the past 3 1/2 years, especially during the recent months of Covid-19 when we were unable to be there.
Should expressions of sympathy be desired, donations may be made in Ilma's memory to Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay.
