Hilkka Douglas Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hilkka Douglas (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sophie and Charlie Wirkkunen; her husband Donald Douglas; her son Garry Douglas; her brothers, Martti, Joe and Sulo Wirkkunen; and her sister-in-law Janet Wirkkunen.

She is survived by: her daughters, Donna (Don Pento), Deb (Bill Bray), Crystal Pento (John Mancuso) and Gayle Douglas; her grandson Will Langlois (Jenni); her daughter-in-law Janet Armstrong; her brother-in-law Dave Douglas (Rosalie); and her close friend Kellie Wierikko.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to "Our Hearts at Home" at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital or St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay.
