Helmi Peltonen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helmi Peltonen (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Brian; her husband Walter; her parents, Valto Jokimaki and Hilma Jokimaki; and her siblings, Eino (Finland), Weikko Jokimaki and Aini Loik.
She is survived by: her children, Kelvin, Sharon Beerthuizen (Mike), Glen (Nancy) and Karen Desgagne (Marcel); her daughter-in-law Marie; her grandchildren, Mandy Tidy (Rob), Erin Beerthuizen, Dawn Peltonen, Marissa Guitard (Jesse), Kari Peltonen, Tyler Tyance, Michael Tyance and Kyle Tyance; her sisters, Lily Doknjas and Helen Siivonen; and also, Brian and Calvary.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Northern Cancer Fund or Calvary Lutheran Church Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated.
