Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helen Staats (Thunder Bay, Ontario), born in Nipigon, Ontario, who passed away at the age of 61, on March 29, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce Cote and Nora Cote; her stepmother Marjorie Cote; her siblings, Cathy Hardy, Shirley Lesperance, Caroline Nyman and Gerald Cote; her niece Christina Perkles; her nephew Carlos Bairez-Perkles; and the father of her child Anthony Perkles.

She is survived by: her husband Robin Staats of Nipigon; her daughter Mandy Price (Stephen) of Lake Helen; her siblings, Betty Toth (Les), Rose Cote, Geraldine Cote (Edward), Theresa Cote, Terry Bouchard (Betty) of Lake Helen, Ontario and Anne Legarde of Nipigon, Ontario; and her nieces, Carla Bairez-Perkles of Thunder Bay, Nancy, Lindsey (Keira McGuire), Paula (Real Bouchard) and Tamar Plummer (Doris K). She is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers Helen's family request that friends so wishing make donations in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society or Daystar Ministries.
