It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Heikki Laakso (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on December 28, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Heikki Laakso to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Iisak Laakso and Anni Laakso; his brothers, Mikko, Matti and Hannu; and his son Jimmy.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Arvo; his wife Irma; his daughter Susan (Doug); his grandchildren, Daniel (Carly) and Cayla (Nikos); and his great grandchildren, Kai, Everly, Niila, Arya and Zaak. He is also survived by numerous relatives in Finland and sister in-law and brother in-laws.
