He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Dampier and Ida Dampier; his siblings, John and Mae; his brother-in-law Eric Corner; his siblings, Nora and Henry; his parents-in-law, William Lyyski and Aili Lyyski; and his brother Oliver Lyyski (Marilyn).

He is survived by: his wife Kyllikki (Cookie); his children, Louise (David Seguin), Gordon (Margaret), Sandra (Jim Gannon) and Cathy (Bino Ray); his grandchildren, Monica (Ed Atwill), Liisa (Joel Brolund), Natalie (Scott Thurkettle), Tuffy Seguin (Roxanne), Alyssa (John Treacy), Carly (Chris Perras), Brad Gannon, Michael Dampier and Joel Dampier; and his sister-in-law Collena Dampier.
