He was predeceased by: his parent Kai; his former wife Lesley Thompson; his son Chris; his wife Donna; and his siblings, Lis Darechuk and Paul Andersen.

He is survived by: his daughter Kirsten Maki (Ken); his granddaughters, Annika and Heidi Maki; his siblings, Leo Andersen (Linda), John Andersen (Shirley), Lars Andersen (Dawn), Jette Andersen and Lene Lavoie (Ghislain); and his grandchildren, Peter Hardy, Cathleen Dolcetti (Kyle), Jayme and Matthew Armstrong. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Finn's memory can be made to Salem Lutheran Church.
