He is survived by: his spouse Marjetta Makinen; his children, Jason Kuoppa-Aho (Melissa) and Jennifer Kuoppa-Aho (Kevin Weise); his daughter-in-law Kathryn Kuoppa-Aho; and his siblings, Sirkka Sundell (Ken), Pirkko Turmaine, Arja Lucas (Rob McNally) and Seppo Kuoppa-Aho (Anna). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
