She was loved and cherished by many people including: her great-grandparent Gigi; her parents, Josiah Skinner and Mary Skinner (Bond); her spouse Weikko Koivisto; her son Terry; her parents-in-law, Aila and Matti Koivisto (Weikko); her son-in-law Murray Stewart; her sisters, Ethel Smith (Harry), Olive Cole (Frank) and Mildred Johnson (Albert); her daughter Sandra Stewart; her grandchildren, Greg Stewart (Marianne), Robert Stewart, Marla Murray (Jeff) and Terra Moquin; and her great grandchildren, Carver, Ewan, Matthew, Isobel, Leah, Brady, Oliver, Hawksley, Fisher and River.

At 3 she lived through the Spanish Flu of 1918 and had to wear a mask during that time.
