She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Smith; and her sister Loretta. She is survived by: her grandmother Eleanor Smith (Ellie); her children, Ross Collins (Anita) of Kelowna and Dawn Collins (Ron) of Kelowna; her grandchildren, Brett Smith and Farren Smith; her stepgrandchildren, Tristan Collins, Jayme Collins and Hanne Collins; her friend Bev Kyle; her son-in-law Ron; and her friends, Connie Raven and Jack.

Donations may be made to Northern Cancer Fund through the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation, or to St. Joseph's Care Group – Hospice/Palliative Care Unit.
