He was predeceased by: his father Leopold Budner; his stepfather Ludwik Tocholke; his mother Olga Tocholke; and his siblings, Betty Gilette and Arthur Budner.

He is survived by: his children, David, Randy and Trudy; his nephew Wayne Budner (Angela); his nieces, Janice Budner (Craig Campbell) and Cheryl Budner; and also Shirley (Tad Shimizu).
