With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Jeffrey Mihalik (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on June 15, 2021 at the age of 62. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Mihalik and Mary Mihalik; his siblings, John, Donald and Karen; his nephew Richard Mihalik; and his brother-in-law Ian Smith.

He is survived by: his sister Sharlene Smith; his nephew Dr. Jonathan Smith (Lindsay); his great-nieces, Isla, Sadie and Noelle; his sister-in-law Hermina Mihalik (Ottawa); his nieces, Amanda and Stacey Mihalik; and his nephew Donald. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.

“In loving memory of Daniel Jeffrey Mihalik, Very sorry to hear about the passing of Daniel. I was a friend of Daniel's in Thunder Bay (when it was known as Fort William). We lived on the same street (McDonald St.) and played together as kids for many years in the 1960's, until I moved away to Southwestern Ontario. Sadly, we never saw each other over the years. I still think of the good times we had as friends. He was a great guy. RIP, my friend. You will be sorely missed.”
