He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Lillian; his wife Grace; and his brothers, William, Gordon, Archie, Viola, Doreen, Leona, Jean, Stella, Walter, Michael, Freeman and Leo.

He is survived by: his great-grandparent Bruce; his great grandchild Reid; his sons, Allan (Karen) and Bill (Renata); his grandchildren, Vanessa, Trevor, Tamara and Marissa; and his sister Verna.
