It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alison Elizabeth Fernie (Thunder Bay, Ontario), who passed away on June 26, 2019, at the age of 45, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Wayne Fernie; and her grandparents, Martha, Henry Leroux, Margaret Probert and Stewart Fernie.

She is survived by: her husband Arto Reinikka; her mother Marion Fernie (Reg Bonazzo); her sisters, Michele Fernie (Debra Fehr) and Samantha O'Connell (Eric); and her niece Kyrie O'Connell. She is also survived by her numerous cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Alison to either the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada or the Thunder Bay & District Humane Society.
