He was predeceased by: his parents, Raoul Legros and Noella Legros; his parents-in-law, Alvar and Dagmar Silen; his siblings, Jacques, Jean, Roger and Lucienne Ranta; his brother-in-law Marty; his sisters, Adele and Leona; and his brother-in-law Gerald (Eli).
He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Rene and Lori Nichol (Tim); and his brothers, Henri (Sandra), Archie (Linda) and Louis (Shirley). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
