It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William Blaikie (Thorold, Ontario), who passed away at the age of 91, on June 5, 2024. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Irene; and his son Gordon. He is survived by: his children, Simon Blaikie (Krista), Lesley Collins (Norm), Elizabeth Fortushniok (Michael) and Nigel Blaikie (Susan); and his grandchildren, Connor, Brynne, Drew (Samara), Tyler (Emily), Evan, Ben, Stephanie and Jacqueline.

Most of all, he took care of our Mom, Irene who had Alzheimer's, with such love and dedication until her death in January, 2024.

“Dr. Blaikie was my favourite physician of all time. He was my first family doctor and delivered my first born. Helped me through some very trying times and always took the time to listen and advise. He had a great sense of humour and connected with his patients not only as a doctor, but as a human being. He was kind and caring. I wish that our medical professionals today could aspire to be just like him. I feel blessed to have been able to have known him. He was one of a kind. Cheryl Farr”
