It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valerie Maria D'Alessandro (Thorold, Ontario), who passed away on July 18, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Nick D'Alessandro; and her parents, Anna Maria and Gennaro Greco. She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Young, Angela Atkinson (Jeff) and Lisa D'Alessandro (Michael Sangalang); her grandchildren, Zachary and Chloe; and her siblings, Tony Greco, Gino Greco and Phyllis Wilgosh (Lorne). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends.
Thank you to Dr. Phillips, Dr. Cuthbert, Dr. Arvinte, the arrival screeners at Hotel Dieu Shaver that greeted us with empathy and a smile daily and to those nurses that really connected with Valerie despite a global pandemic and offered her respect, a gentle touch, comfort and peace.
