He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Burgess and Evelyn Burgess; and his niece Amy Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Darla MacLean; his children, Katie MacLean (Gavin), Caitlin Burgess, Michael Burgess (late Carlie) and Jim Burgess (Colleen); his siblings, Karen Walker (Bruce) and David Burgess (Linda); his nieces and nephews, Jeff Walker (Annie), Peter Walker (Tracy), Lindsay Walker (Matty), Jennifer MacMillan (Greg) and Geoff Burgess (Liz); and his grandchildren, Sophie, Charlotte, Skylar, Hannah, Emma and Josie Burgess.
